| BSC Certificate in Supervising Staff Safely

[ Top ] | The University has recently become a training centre for delivering the BSC Awards Level 2 Certificate in Supervising Staff Safely programme and ran a number of successful courses in 2006/07. The course is aimed at those with general responsibility for the health and safety of others. It is ideal for supervisors, team leaders, department heads and managers and would be particularly beneficial to attend for members of the central and departmental safety committees. |

| CIEH Risk Assessment Principles and Practice

[ Top ] | This one-day course is designed for anyone with responsibility to conduct risk assessments. It is aimed at developing and improving practical competency, not simply in writing the assessments but in ensuring that they carry through into real improvements in safety. | Fire Awareness and Marshal Training

| First Aid at Work Refresher (1-day)

[ Top ] | This is an optional annual refresher course for those who hold the First Aid at Work Certificate. This is not a requalification course and is not required to keep your certificate up to date, however you may wish to use this opportunity to practice your skills annually or midway through the 3-year qualification period. |
| First Aid at Work Requalification (2-day)

[ Top ] | This course is open to persons who currently fulfil the position of qualified workplace first aider. Delegates must be in possession of a valid (unexpired) First Aid at Work Certificate issued by any HSE Approved training organisation. As a result of successful completion of the course, a new First Aid at Work Certificate will be issued to delegates, which is valid for a further 3 years. |
