The HEATED survey has been a great success.
3,300 people took the time to respond, including 44 HEIs responding on an institutional basis and individuals from a further 20 institutions, making this a representative total of 64 HEIs.
The compiled data has given us a mandate to create the business case for HEATED to be a self sustaining organisation which can represent Technical/Specialist staff in the UK, with the aim of providing a range of services to the benefit of the community. The next steps will be to develop a report of the key findings, results and recommendations to the key UK funding bodies with a view to seeking resources for the next stages of the HEATED project. We will do this as quickly as we can.
We hope that locally participating HEIs will be able to make excellent use of their results and use them to good effect when formulating their HR and Training and Development strategies and plans. We hope you will soon get the chance to see the survey results for your own institution, which will be sent to all participating HEIs. We will inform individual respondents who we contacted through the mailbase via the HEATED web site, and will let you know when the information is available.
