University of London Students’ Union

All students who are registered at a College or Institute of the University of London are able to join the University of London Union
(ULU) free of charge.
ULU represents and campaigns on behalf of the interests and views of students. It provides for social, cultural, intellectual and recreational student activities. It is an important centre for live music, student societies, sports clubs, the student newspaper, shops and bars.
ULU also owns and operates a private health club known as Energybase, which is open to students and members of the public. Facilities include a 60-station gymnasium with cardio theatre, a 33-metre swimming pool and two studios. Up to 50 fitness classes are offered per week.
The Union is a centre of excellence for student sports. It runs the intercollegiate London leagues and organises representative teams to compete in national competitions. ULU also operates a boathouse in Chiswick, which is home to some of the most successful rowing teams in the UK.
'London Student', which is the largest student newspaper in Europe is written and produced at ULU entirely by students.
ULU is also a venue for live music, and many famous bands have played there.
Many of the Colleges and Institutes of the University also have their own students’ unions and societies. You should contact your College or Institute for more details.
