Sabbatical Leave for Academics of the School of Advanced Study (SAS)

Sabbatical Leave Scheme

The School recognises that sabbatical leave can be an important part of the professional and intellectual development of staff and of the institution, particularly in relation to the School’s research promotion and facilitation mission. It can enable staff to maintain the highest standards of research and scholarship. Sabbatical leave is not an entitlement but all members of academic staff have the opportunity to apply for sabbatical leave and all applications will be considered fairly and objectively. The School will award a period of sabbatical leave to one or more members of staff per year on a competitive basis. If only one application is received this is not a guarantee that this application will be successful.

The closing date for applications under this scheme is for 2017-18 is 31 December 2016.

For more detailed information or questions about the scheme, please email Sarah Allan in the Dean's Office on  or Claire Westgate, the School’s HR Business Partner on .
