Induction

Welcome to the University of London and your new role.  You are joining a federal University which is one of the oldest, largest and most diverse universities in the UK.  Established by Royal Charter in 1836, the University is recognised globally as a world leader in Higher Education.  The history of the University's foundation can be read here.

Also, check the iTunesU recording in which Professor Geoffrey Crossick, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of London, gives us an insight into the structure of the University of London, including International Programmes, School of Advanced Study and Senate House Libraries. Professor Crossick also talks about one of the University's newest initiatives, iTunesU, which represents the distribution of knowledge digitally.

Induction Sessions are held monthly and you should attend as soon as possible after your start date.  Also ensure your manager carries out your local induction using the Local Induction Checklist [PDF, 4pgs, 269KB].
