Qualifications Funding Policies

The University is committed to developing its staff through the provision of access and financial contribution to appropriate training and development opportunities. This includes supporting staff to pursue academic or professional qualifications externally. 

Before applying for funding, please read the relevant funding policy:

FINANCE AND PURCHASING QUALIFICATIONS for staff in a finance/procurement role

University of London Support for Professional Finance and Purchasing Qualifications  [PDF, 2pgs, 447KB]  

This policy applies to all University of London staff (except for staff employed under the Memorandum of Agreement with Health Education England) who have a finance or procurement role. All applications for study support must be supported by the employee’s line manager as part of an agreed personal and professional development plan.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS UNDERTAKEN EXTERNALLY

This policy applies to all University of London staff (except for staff employed under the Memorandum of Agreement with Health Education England) undertaking external qualifications (such as CIPD, NEBOSH, PRINCE2, GCSE, BA, MA, PhD, etc.). The University wishes to support staff on job related courses and non-job related particularly for those staff who have not had the opportunity to access higher education before.

THE CARER'S CAREER DEVELOPMENT FUND

The aim of the Carer's Career Development Fund is to provide funding to cover the cost of care (e.g. hiring a child minder or day care nurse) for members of staff to attend career development events.
