How can you best help your child through the process of choosing the right University? This workshop presents unbiased, practical information and provides an insight into the student decision making process from careers professionals working within The Careers Group, University of London.
This event is aimed at all parents of future HE applicants and will provide you with:
- A review of the factors which inform student's university course choice
- An outline to help understand the different information provided by a range of sources about higher education and the graduate labour market
- Useful tools to assist your child with their decision making
- A run down of the UCAS process and tips on what universities look for within personal statements
This will take place at Senate House, University of London, Malet Street, London, WC1E 7HU.

With the introduction of higher fees, the pressure on advisers to help their students to choose the right University will be greater than ever.
This workshop presents unbiased, practical information and provides an insight into the student decision making process, delivered by careers professionals working within The Careers Group, University of London.
This event is aimed at school based staff (teachers, heads of sixth form, or careers advisers) who work with students in planning their journey through and post University. The session will provide you with:
- A review of the factors which inform the modern student's university course
- An outline to help understand the information being produced about Universities and the graduate labour market (including the new Key Information Set)
- A summary of useful tools to assist a HE applicant's decision making process
- An overview of key additional resources to support and inform future HE course choices.
- A chance to discuss the UCAS process with peers and colleagues.
