Office for Students Transparency Return
As a Higher Education provider registered with the Office for Students (OfS) we are required as part of Condition F1 of the regulatory framework for higher education in England to provide transparency data on degree outcomes.
Provider: University of London
The data presented is from the 2021 – 22 academic year and details: the number of students who attained a particular degree or other academic award, or a particular level of such an award, on completion of their course with the provider. It also shows:
i. the gender of individuals to which they relate
ii. their ethnicity
iii. their socio-economic background, in the form of the English Index of Multiple Deprivation (EIMD) 2019.
Rounding and Suppression
Please note where the information in the tables is subject to both rounding and suppression as follows:
- N/A: Not applicable as no applicants to this mode of study
- N: 24 or fewer students in this population
- DP: Data suppressed for data protection reasons
Different rounding strategies are used depending on the number of students included in the calculation, if the denominator rounds to:
• 50 or less - percentages are rounded to five per cent
• 1,000 or less - percentages are rounded to one per cent
• More than 1,000 - percentages are rounded to 0.1 per cent
The OfS has extracted this information relating to the 2020-21 academic year from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and Individual Learner Record (ILR) returns for all providers that registered with the OfS on or before 3 February 2022 and returned HESA or ILR data relating to 2020-21.
