Executive Director of University of London Worldwide
The Executive Director University of London Worldwide is responsible for driving growth and ensuring high-quality student experiences across the University's digital and distance learning programmes delivered through recognised teaching centres and online platforms. The Executive Director oversees three key directorates: Online Education, Student Services and Global Business Development.
Sky brings over two decades of leadership experience in higher education, with a career spanning both public and private institutions across global contexts. He has a proven track record in driving strategic expansion, commercial growth, innovation, and international partnerships, with particular expertise in transnational education (TNE), digital learning, edtech, and student recruitment.
Before joining the University, Sky held several senior leadership roles, each contributing to his deep expertise in the higher education sector. As Managing Director of Transnational Education at Global University Systems, he played a pivotal role in expanding the group’s international academic offerings and fostering partnerships with universities worldwide. He then served as CEO of InteractivePro, an Online Programme Management (OPM) provider, where he led initiatives to grow both the company and the student experience for universities expanding their online portfolios. Most recently, he was Vice President of International Development at FutureLearn, where he spearheaded the platform’s global outreach and collaborations with academic institutions, businesses, and governments.
Prior to transitioning to the private sector, Sky spent 13 years in UK public higher education institutions, holding senior positions in international recruitment and partnerships at the University of Sunderland and Birmingham City University.
Sky is also a proud alumnus of the University of London, having completed his PhD in Intercultural Communication and Education at Birkbeck. A passionate advocate for international collaboration and lifelong learning, Sky is a frequent speaker at global conferences.
