Items in the Catalogue marked Stack Service or Stack Service Offsite Store have to be fetched by staff.
Requesting items
Items with a catalogue location of Stack Service or Stack Service Offsite Store are not held on the open shelves, but can be fetched for you by staff. To place a request, click the Request or Request from Store button on the catalogue.
Some of this material cannot be requested via the catalogue (there will be no Request button), in which case you can make a request at the 4th floor Service Desk, or by email to senatehouselibrary@london.ac.uk.
Stack service
Material with a location of Stack Service is fetched at the following times, and is usually available to collect from the 4th floor Service Desk approximately 30 minutes after it is fetched during staffed hours. Journals and stack reference items cannot be used outside of staffed hours. You will receive an email when items are available. Books are held for a week before being returned to the shelves, journals are held for three days.

Offsite store
Material with a catalogue location of Offsite Store is held in one of our two Offsite Stores and can be collected from the 4th floor Service Hall within 48 hours of being ordered (excluding weekends). You will receive an email when items are available. Books and journals are held for one week.
Card catalogue
Please allow 24 hours for any card catalogue orders placed via email for items in the Stack Service and up to 48 hours for items held at our Offsite store. For further information, please contact senatehouselibrary@london.ac.uk.
