Scholarships: Supporting access to education

Through our scholarship programmes, we ensure that students around the world can access a University of London education, regardless of their financial circumstances. It is only with the support of alumni and friends that we are able to achieve this.

The University of London has a commitment to promoting and widening access to education, an ethos which is grounded in our history.

Breaking down barriers to education

Scholarships enable talented and deserving students to complete our programmes, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. They allow students to pursue careers which enrich their lives, and the lives of their communities. Scholarship support plays a vital role in developing the next generation of experts who influence and shape the world in which we live.

Support a life-changing scholarship

Supporting our scholarship programme makes a real difference to the lives of University of London students around the world. Donations of any size will go towards ensuring that students, no matter what their financial background, can fulfil their potential.

Create a named scholarship

The University welcomes the opportunity to establish new, named scholarships – whether for a specific academic programme, or directed towards a geographic area. Funding an entire scholarship allows you to make a personal connection with your scholar, giving students the chance to thank those who have supported them. We are happy to discuss naming opportunities for scholarships in collaboration with donors on an individual basis.

To discuss funding a new scholarship, please contact a member of the Development team at development@london.ac.uk or on +44 (0)20 7863 1340.

Support the Mary Stiasny Scholarship

The University of London has launched a new global award, the Mary Stiasny Scholarship, in direct support of the University’s mission to transform lives and societies around the world through the power of education.
