Did you know: you can study our world-class degrees without leaving your home country? You can even sit your exams in over 190 countries around the world.
We aim to give you the flexibility to make your experience with us both rewarding and successful. If you need to travel for any reason, you simply take your studies with you.
Getting started: what's the right course for me?
Study independently or with local tuition
Although there are some exceptions, most of our programmes are designed to be studied online, independently.
If you prefer face-to-face study support, you can attend classes for many of our programmes at a teaching centre near you.
Classes may be available on a full or part-time basis, including evenings and weekends.
What do I receive as a distance learning student?
Sit exams in your home country
Our degrees are developed and assessed by the member institutions of the University of London. This means that the degree you earn is of the same standard as those achieved on-campus in London.
Our programmes are assessed in different ways, including exams. If you do need to sit exams, you can do so at one of over 500 exam centres situated all over the world.
Attend the graduation ceremony in London
When you complete your degree, you'll have the opportunity to attend one of our graduation ceremonies in London. These are held in March each year and are presided over by the University of London's Chancellor, HRH the Princess Royal.
We also hold a number of international graduation ceremonies each year. Our local teaching centres often conduct their own ceremonies too.
