David Baume Visiting Fellow Award
The David Baume Visiting Fellow Award provides the opportunity for the Award holder to spend three months as a CODE Visiting Scholar.
Dr David Baume made a significant contribution to the Centre for Online and Distance Education (CODE) at the University of London, as well as to the wider academic and educational development community.
The David Baume Visiting Fellow Award celebrates and continues David’s work and passion for educational development.
The Award provides the opportunity for the Award holder to spend three months as a visiting scholar at CODE, supported to undertake a project linked to educational/academic development in the field of online, digital and distance education. The Award covers the academic costs associated with the three-month placement at the University of London with CODE. The recipient will need to meet all other costs, including travel, accommodation, and living expenses associated with their fellowship.
In addition to completing their project, successful Fellows will be required to submit a detailed report outlining their research and findings to CODE. Furthermore, they will be expected to present their work at the annual International Research in Distance Education conference hosted by CODE upon completion of their fellowship. This ensures that their contributions to educational development are shared with the wider community.
