The Citizenship and the Rule of Law MOOC delivered on the Coursera platform is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills and confidence to grapple with the complexities of applying the Rule of Law in the modern state.
The Rule of Law is a mainstay of the modern news cycle. From Zimbabwe to the United States, from Venezuela to Poland, we are told constantly the Rule of Law will save us from a host of social ills. Yet despite its omnipresence, the Rule of Law is rarely understood.
Recent challenges have meant that preservation of the Rule of Law is now more important than ever. The course will grapple with these issues by introducing a new aspect of the Rule of Law each week.
