This module examines emerging markets’ commercial realities and national cultures within the context of a global economy.
The first part examines emerging markets and their characteristics and explores business systems within the context of a global economy. It evaluates the BRIC economies (Brazil, Russia, India, and China), and other nations in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Eastern European, providing you with analytical skills to discuss or conduct business in these growing economies.
After reviewing the characteristics of Asia Pacific business systems and their historical development, part two considers key issues such as government, corporate governance, business groups and networks, finance, employment, technological development, and foreign multinational investment. There is also focus on the rise of Asia Pacific multinationals in world markets, and on the reasons behind their noted success.
