Humanitarian Action

The MSc Humanitarian Action is a new online programme that builds on the strengths of SOAS’ expertise in the areas of violence, aid and security.
The core module explores humanitarian principles, architecture and practice, enabling students to build up a critical understanding of the ideological underpinnings, constraints and politics of humanitarian action.
Students will gain an analytical and empirical view of Humanitarian Action and through case studies examine the practicalities and institutional learning in natural disasters, complex emergencies and humanitarianism in Europe.
