National Student Survey

This is a survey sent to nearly half a million undergraduates from over 400 UK universities and colleges nearing the end of their studies – it invites you to share your opinions about your university experience, and we would encourage as many eligible students to participate.

The survey is run by the market research agency Ipsos MORI and is commissioned by the Office for Students (OfS), on behalf of the UK funding and regulatory bodies. The survey is an opportunity for you to share honest feedback on what it has been like to study on your programme.

The survey is open to undergraduates reaching the end of their studies who have previously indicated to us that they will spend, or intend to spend, 8 or more weeks in the United Kingdom as part of their studies.

Completing the survey gives you the chance to say what you like about your University of London programme, but also what changes could be made to improve your experience.

Results feed into the University’s improvement planning and quality assurance processes.

By sharing your feedback, you’ll be making a difference to our university and helping prospective students, who can use the Discover Uni website to compare NSS results to help them make informed choices about where and what to study.

You can be honest. All responses are anonymised before they are shared with back with us – so your feedback will remain completely confidential.

At the University of London, the NSS will launch on Thursday 10 February and close on Saturday 30 April 2022.

All eligible students will receive a personalised link to complete the survey, via email from Ipsos MORI, during the survey period. You may also be contacted by telephone or by SMS inviting you to complete the survey. Alternatively, you can visit the NSS website to complete the survey once it opens.
