Frequently asked questions

Who is eligible for accommodation in Gower Street?

We only accept full-time, postgraduate students enrolled on courses at publicly funded universities.

Are bills included?

All the basic utilities and Wi-Fi are included in the cost of the rent. The TV licence has to be paid separately and please not that the TVs are not provided as standard.

You will be required to pay a safety deposit in the value of 4 weeks' rent. The safety deposit will be refunded to you at the end of your tenancy provided there are no deductions due to any damage to the property.

How long is the contract?

The contract has to be signed for 50 weeks tenancy. 

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

The kitchen is fully furnished and comes with a cooker, fridge-freezer, washing machine, kettle and toaster. However, we do not provide any crockery, cooking utensils etc. 

Is there a formal application process?

Please contact the PMU team to discuss the accommodation and book a viewing. There is no formal application process and the self-catered accommodation in Gower Street is offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
