I joined the University of London Institute in Paris, then the British Institute in Paris, in August 2000, as a recent graduate. Having myself studied in London after growing up in France, I was attracted to the opportunity to work in a multicultural higher education environment.

I have had various roles within ULIP since joining the institution but have been working for Student Services since 2007. In my current role, I head up the team responsible for the administration of ULIP programmes and the corresponding student journey, including enquiries, admissions, registration, assessment and examinations. Because the vast majority of our students come from outside of France, we also provides practical advice and support on general welfare matters including accommodation, funding, visa applications and healthcare. Moving to a foreign country is daunting, whatever your age, so we work hard to facilitate a smooth transition to Paris, in a friendly and professional manner.

I find it extremely rewarding to be able to provide support to students who have made the courageous choice to study abroad, especially as they are not yet fluent in French. I feel like our work with the students really has an impact on their future, and there is nothing more gratifying than talking to ULIP alumni who tell us coming to ULIP was the best decision they ever made!
