Widely recognized as one of the most important Québécois writers of his generation, Alain Farah is the author of novels, plays, and graphic novels, as well as a prolific essayist for the press and in academic publications.
Professor Jean-Michel Gouvard has gathered a group of researchers together for two days of exploration of Farah’s work, from considerations of his Lebanese heritage to his formal experimentations, along with a roundtable conversation with Farah himself and a live experiment in translation with the University of London Institute in Paris’ Professor Anna-Louise Milne.
The event is supported by the Plurielles network, the Institute for Languages, Cultures and Societies of the School of Advanced Study, and the Association internationales des études québécoises. Full details of the programme can be seen here.
