Experiences in Digital Learning Seminar Series

These monthly webinars, organised by the University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP), Goldsmiths and the Centre for Distance Education, provide a platform for exploration, exchange and learning from the widespread innovation and development taking place in digital learning during a worldwide pandemic.

Description

In June 2020, following the sudden disruption to the education industry caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP), represented by Tim Gore, Goldsmiths, represented by Mark d’Iverno, and the University of London Centre for Distance Education, represented by Dr  Linda Amrane-Cooper, quickly launched the first instalment of a series of talks between digital learning specialists, looking back at what has been rapidly achieved and what lay ahead of us.

The webinar series now continues at a monthly pace. ‘Experiences in Digital Learning’ aims at fostering discussions among academic professionals throughout a very special post-COVID-19 academic year.

In each one-hour session, we discuss a theme such as challenges for practice-based programmes, student engagement, inclusion and access, and others with a panel of 3 experts, moderated by  Dr Linda Amrane-Cooper, Head of the Centre for Distance Education at the University of London Worldwide, and answer questions from the audience.

Mark, Linda and I are very pleased to welcome you to this special webinar series which forms a part of the growing Goldsmiths - ULIP collaboration. We both feel that it is very timely to glimpse in the mirror at our evolving pedagogic practice and to hear from this very special group of experts we work with their insights into the practice of digital learning as we adapt this new world we are a part of
