Our historic classic 19th-century building, with its stone entrance and high ceilings, offers a prestigious setting for your studies within easy reach of both the political and educational centres of the French world.
Located in the 7th arrondissement on the Rive Gauche and overlooking the Esplanade des Invalides and the Eiffel Tower, ours is considered one of the quintessential Parisian neighbourhoods.
Study resources and facilities
You will benefit from access to a wide range of study resources and facilities, including several libraries, electronic information services, and computing facilities. The University of London Institute in Paris' Library is the primary source of support and research material for students and staff, offering subject-specific resources and access to dozens of electronic databases. It also offers a comfortable, welcoming and secure space for study, research, work and interaction. Our Head of Library is on-hand to introduce you to the facilities and services available, and to point you in the right direction towards any off-site provision.
IT facilities
Students can access general IT facilities throughout the building:
- PC workstations

- wireless access
- scanners
- colour printing and photocopying
As a student at the University of London Institute in Paris you will receive your own University email address for the duration of your studies. This should be checked regularly as it is the address that official University information, including academic and social life is communicated. Combined with this, you receive a personal network account, through which you can access resources, as well as store and manage your electronic documents.
Wireless connectivity
We provide open free Wi-fi to our University of London Institute in Paris students and staff, allowing you to have remote access to high-speed internet in all the areas of the building. We also provide an Eduroam service.
IT support
IT support is provided through:
- helplines for staff and students
- online guides to enable users to get the most from their computing facilities
- training in IT skills for students
- online tutorials for staff
Virtual Learning Environment
You will benefit from access to the University of London Institute in Paris' Virtual Learning Environment, an innovative study support and course management resource.
