MSc Project Management (Sustainability)

For the qualification of MSc Project Management (Sustainability) you must complete:

Ten core modules (150 credits total); and
One compulsory Project module (30 credits)

Introduction to project management (PMM010)

This module introduces you to the fundamental concepts, tools and techniques for planning and managing the delivery of projects.

Operations and quality management (PMM020)

This module introduces you to the key components of driving successful projects forward, including operations, strategy, process and quality management.

Advanced applied project management (PMM050)

This module helps you critically analyse traditional project management principles so you can see where projects fail and learn how to succeed.

Corporate governance, ethics and sustainability (PMM070)

This module will examine the ethical issues of corporate governance and social responsibility in modern organisations.

International management of mega projects (PMM080)

This module helps you identify the challenges and opportunities that come with managing projects of all shapes and sizes.

Accounting and finance (PMM100)

This module is an introduction to accounting and financing and starts with the very basics in a step-by-step approach.

Managing people and organisations (PMM110)

This module considers the principles surrounding the management and leadership of people and organisations.

Environmental sustainability for project management (PMM160)

This module focuses on the environmental aspects of project management and explores the challenges of implementing sustainable strategies.

Social sustainability for project management (PMM170)

This module considers the social aspects of sustainability and the challenges faced when addressing them.

Managing projects for sustainability (PMM180)

This module enables you to explore sustainability issues and learn how to manage projects with sustainable outcomes.

This module will provide the fundamental elements needed to help you develop your analytical and technical research skills.
