On 29 April 2024, the University of London held a special evening of celebrations to welcome its newest graduates to the alumni community.

Following a daytime graduation ceremony at the Barbican Centre, the University hosted an evening celebration event in the beautiful setting of Senate House.

The evening began with a speech from Vice-Chancellor Professor Wendy Thomson CBE.

Guests had the chance to network with fellow graduates and to meet academics and programme leaders who had supported them during their studies.

Guests also had the opportunity visit the ‘Gatsby Salon’ in Chancellor’s Hall, which featured an exhibition on F.Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, led by the School of Advanced Study (SAS). As part of the exhibition, Professor Sarah Churchwell, Director of Public Engagement at SAS, gave a short talk about jazz-age America in The Great Gatsby.

We warmly welcome our newest graduates to our thriving global alumni community.
