On Wednesday March 12th we welcome Matt Frei, Channel 4’s Europe Editor and Presenter, as part of our Distinguished Speaker Series at the University of London. Known for his incisive reporting and unparalleled insight into global affairs, Matt brings decades of experience covering some of the most defining events of our time.

This timely discussion will delve into the first seven weeks of the new U.S. president's administration. Matt will offer his expert perspective on key initial policies, major decisions, and their far-reaching impact on both the domestic landscape and the international stage.

Professor Sarah Churchwell, Chair in Public Understanding of the Humanities, School of Advanced Study, University of London, is hosting the discussion.

About the speaker:

Matt Frei is Europe Editor and Presenter at Channel 4 News. He has conducted exclusive interviews with Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Aung San Suu Kyi. Previously, Frei was BBC’s Washington Correspondent and anchored World News America. An award-winning journalist, he’s reported globally and authored two books: Italy: The Unfinished Revolution and Only in America.
