The full programme and speaker list for the Festival of Higher Education has now been revealed. Taking place on 7 and 8 November 2023 at Senate House, the festival will bring together higher education leaders, opinion-formers and policy experts of all types to discuss the biggest issues facing universities today. The event is produced and developed by the University of London in partnership with Wonkhe.
Across the two days, attendees will have the chance to join cutting-edge debates, expert panel sessions, Q&As, interactive masterclasses and networking, with big-name speakers from outside the sector as well as from within. Speakers at the festival include: David Aaronovitch, journalist and commentator; Anjana Ahuja, Science Commentator, Financial Times; Bonnie Greer, playwright, novelist, critic and broadcaster; Melanie Garson, Director of Geopolitics, Tony Blair Institute for Global Change; Sunder Katwala, Director of British Future; Ayesha Hazarika, Broadcaster and Political Commentator; Sam Freedman, Senior Fellow at the Institute for Government and education policy advisor; Stian Westlake, Executive Chair of the Economic and Social Research Council - and dozens of leaders and policy influencers from across the university sector and beyond. Topics for discussion range from international issues to funding, to regulation, to innovation, political and policy developments, to civic impact, enhancing the student experience and much more.
