Find and locate references in libraries and online
Join us for an immersive workshop designed for postgraduate students seeking to hone their research skills. This hands-on session serves as a comprehensive guide to navigating the intricate world of academic references, be it in print or digital formats.
After a short tour of the library, you will learn about the various elements of a reference, explore the differences between print and electronic resources, and gain expertise in utilising an array of library tools. With practical exercises and discussions, you'll develop a keen eye for detail in identifying reference elements and master the art of using library resources effectively. Guided by our subject expert librarians, you'll refine your search strategies and by the end of the session you will be able to more confidently locate and access materials across the scholarly landscape for your research.
At the end of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to search for references related to their own research and consult with the librarians leading the session.
