On 12 April 2023, the University hosted an event at the National Museum of Singapore.
We were delighted to have over 150 of our alumni, students, partners and friends join us for this event titled 'The Future of Work'.
A lively panel discussion focused on ‘The Future of Work’, including the influence of technology on sectors such as banking, law, finance and governance.
The esteemed panel included Mr Seah Chin Siong, President & Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Institute of Management Group Ltd, Dr Lissy Vadakel, Country Director of British Council Singapore and Charles Tan, Co-Founder of Basis Capital Pte, Portfolio Manager of Pilgrim Partners Asia and alumnus of the University of London.
The event was opened by Vice-Chancellor Professor Wendy Thomson CBE who also chaired the panel. Professor Thomson travelled from London to preside at graduation Ceremonies at the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). She was accompanied by Professor Mary Stiasny, Pro Vice-Chancellor International, Learning and Teaching; Director of Global Business Development Ian Jamieson; Director of Development Bill Abraham; Head of Constituency Engagement Holly Peterson; and Alumni Engagement Manager Peter Piatkowski.
The panel discussion was followed by lively networking, including structured networking hubs for alumni and students with an interest in particular sectors.
