Inclusive Skills and Business Routes to Net Zero
Event information>
About this event
This workshop aims to bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to develop a shared vision and outcomes for tackling skills and business challenges to stimulate the retrofit market, which is set to become a significant market of the future.
Using their collective insights, understanding of national and local policy contexts and delivery requirements, participants will be encouraged to explore and generate fresh ideas for innovative solutions to:
- build inclusive skills pathways for Londoners wishing to upskill and reskill in the sector; and,
- enable SMEs and entrepreneurs from underrepresented groups, to gear up to access opportunities through accelerating the retrofitting of London’s homes.
Participants will work collaboratively to co-design solutions that ensure equality and inclusion are at the heart of practical interventions that build on existing local retrofit and adaptation projects.
We will use the outputs from the workshop to develop a more ambitious cross-sectoral programme of action research and actionable interventions to scale up delivery on the ground.
This activity is funded by ESRC, AHRC and Innovate UK and is part of the Local Policy Innovation Partnerships programme.
