The seventh annual Psychology Research Day delivered by the British Psychological Society (BPS) in collaboration with Senate House Library, primarily aimed at psychology postgraduate students and early career researchers.

The Psychology Research Day will take place as part of the week-long Psychology Careers Festival organised by the British Psychological Society.

The research day is free to attend and will feature talks about research skills and careers in psychology research. Planned talks for the day include sessions about political psychology, artificial intelligence, psychometric testing, and diverse career paths in psychological research.

  • 10:30 - Current issues in political psychology research | Dr Nikhil Sengupta, Director, Psychology and Public Policy Research Unit, University of Kent
  • 11:00 - Using AI in research and data analysis | speaker to be announced
  • 11:30 - Psychometric testing in research | Charlie Eyre, Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Workspheres Ltd
  • 12:00 - Panel discussion with morning speakers 
  • 12:50 - Peer-to-peer researchers round table | Tahani M. Baldwin, GMBPsS BSc (Hons), PhD Student, Brighton and Sussex Medical School, Matthew Foxwell, PhD Researcher, York University, further speaker to be announced
