Dr Eda Ayaydin joins research team at Mershon Center for International Security in Ohio

Dr Eda Ayaydin will be a visiting researcher at the Mershon Center for International Security Studies at Ohio State University during the Spring and Summer terms of 2025. 

During her visit, she will work with Alexander Wendt, Professor of International Security and Professor of Political Science on her monograph entitled Performing and Reconstructing Sovereignty: Norwegian-Russian Relations in Contemporary Arctic Geopolitics, engage with the academic community at the Mershon Center, and exchange insights on international theory and geopolitics. She will also further develop her research in social constructivist approach, examining the intersections of sovereignty, cooperation, and the roles of various actors in both International Relations and the Arctic region. 

Mershon is an academic center located in the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences of the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University. The Mershon Center studies the human and social dimensions of complex security challenges. Through research and engagement, they reframe the big issues as they create new models for ground-level problem-solving. The University of London Institute in Paris expresses its congratulations to Dr Ayaydin in achieving this important career move.
