New collaborative study area in Senate House Library

Date

We're delighted to announce a fresh, redesigned area just inside the 4th-floor entrance, perfect for collaborative studying or relaxing solo work.

New collaborative study area in Senate House Library (SHL)

The old Service Hall, where you would previously go to borrow books or pick up stack items, has been transformed into a vibrant, open gathering space for group discussions or focused individual work.

With flexible seating options from lounge chairs to counter height tables, the area offers a range of areas for all styles of study. The convenient location by the entrance provides easy access while keeping noise away from our quiet study areas. Printers, copiers and self-service machines are also located at the back.

Our new Service Desk is now located right inside the Membership Hall entrance if you need assistance.

This area is already proving popular with our members. Whether you're looking to coordinate with classmates on group projects, discuss ideas with colleagues, or simply be among the energy of peers while tackling independent work, our collaborative area offers the ideal environment.
