Statement on Ukraine
A message from the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wendy Thomson.
We join with the international community in condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and our thoughts are with all those affected by it.
We are appalled at the growing humanitarian crisis caused by the conflict and we will continue to do all we can to support our students, alumni and staff who are caught up in it, while hoping that it can be brought to a swift and peaceful conclusion.
There are a number of different ways this will be affecting students; we have reached out to them and we will continue to keep the channels of communication open.
We are also working closely with the Council for At-Risk Academics (CARA) to assist them in their efforts to help at-risk academics.
