Thank you for your feedback: Library User survey results
Early this year we carried out a survey of our members’ experiences of the library.
The response was overwhelmingly positive, with 95% of respondents saying they were either very satisfied or satisfied with our service - a small increase from last year.
The survey also explored our members’ awareness of several new services that have been introduced by the library. These services were rolled out in response to your feedback from the previous survey. The most well-received among these has been the extension of our opening hours - we now stay open till 11pm on weekdays and the entire day on Sundays. Almost half of the surveyed participants (49%) reported having benefitted from these extended hours.
The results also demonstrated good awareness of the new, collaborative study spaces in Bloom@SenateHouse and support for our decision to allow hot drinks into the library.
Additional findings:
- A much higher proportion of our members are now making in-person visits to the library.
- The extended opening hours and Bloom@SenateHouse have contributed to a higher likelihood of our users visiting SHL than before.
- Certain elements of our buildings and facilities still require improvement – something we will address in the coming months.
The lucky recipients of our prize draw, both of whom will be awarded a £100 John Lewis gift card, are:
- Justin from London School of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL
- Valentin from LSE.
