University hosts special Alumni Celebration Evening

Date

On 28 April 2025, the University of London held a special evening celebration event to welcome its newest graduates to the alumni community.

Following daytime graduation ceremonies at the Barbican Centre, new graduates made their way over to Senate House where they celebrated into the evening with friends and families.

The evening opened with a speech from Vice-Chancellor Professor Wendy Thomson CBE, who welcomed graduates and their guests, before sharing more about the University’s iconic headquarters and encouraging our new alumni to keep in touch. Guests then took part in a London-themed quiz, hosted by Tim Wade, Director of Student Registry Services.

Alumni had the chance to network with fellow graduates and to meet some of the academics and programme leaders who had supported them during their studies. They were also able to capture a memento of the evening at London-themed photo booths.

The event showcased the global nature of our community, with graduates and their families and friends attending from as far as Pakistan, Ethiopia and Singapore.

We warmly welcome our newest graduates to our thriving global alumni community and look forward to keeping in touch.
