The University of London has announced the launch of registration for its second Festival of Higher Education, which returns as a unique event for the higher education sector.

The festival will once again take place over two days, on 12 and 13 November 2024, at Senate House.

The event is being produced and developed by Wonkhe and the University of London, and will bring together higher education leaders, opinion-formers and wonks of all types to discuss the biggest issues facing universities today.

Today sees the launch of the new festival website, and is open for early bird bookings.

Alistair Jarvis CBE, Pro Vice-Chancellor Partnerships and Governance, said:

“I’m delighted to be launching The Festival of Higher Education 2024, which will once again be the most exciting event in the higher education calendar – a place to debate the most pressing issues facing universities, to hear fresh perspectives, to shape policy thinking and examine the latest trends, research and innovations.

“Building on the success of last year’s festival we’re looking forward to welcoming guests to the University of London to share ideas, learn from each other and debate how we can collectively shape a positive future for Higher Education. I’d encourage those who want to be part of the conversation to book a place quickly so they don’t miss out.

“The University of London is once again very proud to host the event at the iconic Senate House; we share Wonkhe’s mission to open up the higher education debate, and we are sure to be in for a fascinating few days.”

Over two thought-provoking days, 500+ guests and speakers will take part in conversations with HE leaders, set-piece debates, and hear insights from commentators, innovators and policymakers. There will be cutting-edge debate, expert panel sessions, big-name speakers from outside the sector as well as from within, Q&As, interactive masterclasses and, of course, plenty of networking and social opportunities.
