Vice-Chancellor joins Commonwealth Day service attended by the Royal Family

Vice-Chancellor Wendy Thomson joined members of the Royal Family at a Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey held this week (Monday 11 March).
Professor Thomson was invited in an official capacity as Deputy Chair of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales were among senior members of the Royal Family who attended, alongside foreign dignitaries, senior politicians, faith leaders and members of the public. Our Chancellor, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, was also at the service.
Commonwealth Day is celebrated by people from all over the modern Commonwealth, which will have its 75th anniversary in April. The theme of this year’s Commonwealth Day Service was ‘One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Commonwealth’.
