We are international

The UK is formally leaving the EU today.

Two chess pieces representing the European Union and the United Kingdom on a chess board symbolising Brexit

At the University of London we have a long tradition of welcoming students and staff from the European Union and across the world.

While the UK’s withdrawal from the EU will mean change, Brexit will not alter our open and collaborative nature and we will continue to welcome students, staff and visitors from the EU and beyond.

Our EU connections in the fields of research or other collaborations are key to the University’s academic strategy and we will, together with our member institutions and through Universities UK, work with other universities and national bodies to do all we can to ensure continued interaction with Europe as fully as possible.

Our Institute in Paris has been present in France since 1969 and will continue to promote UK and EU relations, and we are continuing to develop our flexible and distance learning offer to provide access to University of London degrees globally.

If you are an EU student or academic, you will find updated information regarding studying and working in the UK on the Home Office website here.
