Win a trip to Paris with the University of London Institute in Paris
The University of London Institute in Paris’ (ULIP) annual Win a Trip to Paris competition is now open for AS/A level French students!
This year marks the competition's eighth year and ULIP has now hosted as many students and their guests here in the City of Light. The winner receives two second-class, non-flexible return tickets to Paris (worth up to £400 maximum), as well as two nights of three-star accommodation in the Hotel de France, Invalides. The weekend offers the perfect chance to explore the French capital, try out fresh croissants, and see what it might be like to live and study in the city. Two runners-up each receive one £50 gift card for Blackwell UK, also known as Blackwell’s and Blackwell Group.
Uniquely designed to engage students working at AS/A level French or equivalent, this year’s competition focuses on an important forthcoming event that will take place in Paris. To spur creativity, we have changed the format. The competition task is to answer two questions and create a snappy image caption in French. As an extra incentive for teachers to get their students involved in the competition, the member of teaching staff who encourages the most applications wins un coffret cadeau, or gift hamper, from Fauchon worth approximately €75. Last year, thanks to teachers’ help, ULIP received just under 500 entries from over 280 schools! We are counting on all teachers to help us beat this incredible record once again this year.
ULIP asked last year's winner, Hollie, to keep a journal of her weekend in Paris – find out what she got up to during her weekend in Paris.
