University of London students facing severe financial hardship can now apply for grants of up to £3,000 to support the completion of their studies. The grants are focused on helping students with cost-of-living challenges and as such cannot be used to pay tuition fees.
The University of London Hardship Grant is non-repayable and available to students across the University who can demonstrate they are in financial need. Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis and the fund will be shared among those who need it most.
University of London Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Mary Stiasny said:
“Many of our students are experiencing real hardship as a result of the cost-of-living crisis, and it is essential they are provided with the support they need to ensure they can continue to study. We have made this fund available to our registered student body in acknowledgement of the very real hardships being faced by students at this time.”
