University of London Member Institutions excel in world-leading research quality rankings

Five University of London member institutions made the top 10 overall according to the Times Higher Education’s analysis.

The University of London congratulates all of its member institutions following the announcement of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) outcomes.

The REF highlights the success of the diverse University of London member institutions across the many fields of research, encompassing science and healthcare through to business and the arts and humanities.

In the field of music and the performing arts, University of London member institutions fill the top five spaces in the Times Higher Education (THE) subject rankings, with Queen Mary, University of London top, Royal Holloway second and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, King’s College London and SOAS featuring in the top five. In the field of agriculture, food and veterinary sciences, the Royal Veterinary College was ranked first place in the THE’s research power index.

Five University of London member institutions made the top 10 overall according to the Times Higher Education’s analysis, with their strength and importance to the field of research spanning a range of disciplines. Congratulations to the Institute of Cancer Research, the London School of Economics & Political Science, University College London, King’s College London and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
