This module utilises a broad range of approaches from the social sciences and humanities in order to develop a nuanced understanding of genocide and reconciliation processes.

  • Memory and reconciliation studies.

Learning outcomes

Students will emerge with a deeper and more complex understanding of the concept and law of genocide, the theory and practice of 'reconciliation' and the appropriateness of applying such concepts to key case studies.

Assessment

This module is assessed by one item of coursework (70% of the overall grade), and three E-tivities (30%).
