By studying this module you will gain an overview of the application of quantitative methods relevant to supply chain management.

You will gain the insights to recognise and tackle supply chain issues which will benefit from a quantitative approach, together with an understanding of the strengths and limitations of applying these methods. You will develop the skills to acquire and analyse data and information and to synthesise it in the context of supply chain issues.

Coursework (50% weighting) - The coursework assessment will be based on a 2500 word report on how quantitative modelling can help decision making in supply chain.

Examination (50% weighting) - The final assessment will be based on a two-hour unseen written examination including multiple-choice and essay-type questions.

Pass Mark - To pass this module you must get a mark of at least 50% in each element of assessment, subject to the application of rules for compensation. Please see the programme regulations for more information.
