An increasing variety of designs is used in clinical trials, and this module will enable students to understand their fundamental characteristics and appropriate use in the testing of therapies and other interventions.It is an option for all students on the MSc Clinical Trials, PG Diploma Clinical Trials and MSc Epidemiology.

Assessment
Formal assessment of the module will be by an assessed assignment (20%) and by a 2hr 15 unseen written examination (80%).
If you fail the module, you are allowed one further attempt at the failed element (examination and/ or assignment).
