Dr Libon Fung is Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Birkbeck and Guest Teacher in the Department of Accounting at LSE. He has published on topics including capital asset pricing theory.
Dr Vicente Cuñat is Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at LSE. A former winner of the Young Economist Award, his research interests include corporate finance, applied theory and econometrics, and labour economics.

Academic coordinators
Dr Jörn Rothe was appointed Lecturer in Management in 1997 and is now Director of Studies at the Managerial Economics and Strategy Faculty Group. He specialises in the economics of strategy and competition, managerial economics, and game theory.
Dr Steve Smithson is Senior Lecturer in Information Systems for the Department of Management at LSE. He specialises in e-commerce and the use of information systems within organisations, and has published regularly on information systems since the 1980s.
Professor Irini Moustaki is Professor in Social Statistics at the Department of Statistics at LSE. Professor Moustaki’s research focuses on the development of methodology and applications in the areas of education, psychology, behavioural sciences, cross-national studies, and epidemiological studies related to rare diseases.

Dr Eiko Thielemann is Associate Professor in Political Science and Public Policy in the Department of Government and the European Institute. His research focuses on EU and comparative European policy-making, with particular focus on issues such as asylum and immigration, multi-level governance and regional and state aid policy.

Dr Marcia Schafgans is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at LSE, specialising in microeconometrics and Semiparametric and Nonparametric Estimation techniques. She received her PhD in Economics from Yale University. She is an Econometrics Programme Associate for STICERD (the Suntory and Toyota International Centres for Economics and Related Disciplines).
Professor Martin Anthony is Professor of Mathematics at LSE. He received an LSE Education Excellence Award in 2016 and was also listed as one of the 1,000 most influential people in London by the Evening Standard. His research interests include Boolean and pseudo-Boolean functions, and how mathematics evidences machine learning.

Dr Uli Sedelmeier is an Associate Professor (Reader) in International Relations in the Department of International Relations at LSE, specialising in International institutions, the European Union and conditionality. He obtained his MA and PhD from the University of Sussex.

Dr Francesco Nava is lecturer in Economics at LSE. Dr Nava holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. He is Academic Director for Economics, Management, Finance and Social Sciences (EMFSS) programmes since 2020 and Program Director for the MSc in Economics at the LSE since 2017. Dr Nava’s research focuses on economic theory, strategic pricing, social networks, and industrial organisation. He has received an LSE Education Excellence Award every year since 2015.
