Scholarships and Bursaries
The level of competition for scholarships and educational awards is very high. We recommend that you apply for the course early if you plan to apply for a related award.
For some of our scholarships, you will need an offer to study the course to be eligible. Even where it is not a requirement, holding an offer to study can often benefit a funding application.
What is available?
Currently enrolled students can apply to this fund which is focused on helping students who are experiencing extreme or unexpected cost-of-living challenges.
Bursaries
Graduates of the University of London Worldwide can enrol on further courses with a bursary towards tuition fees.
These bursaries are available on specific programmes if you have studied at one of the following University of London Federation Members: City, Goldsmiths, Queen Mary, School of Advanced Studies, University of London or University of London in Paris.
A 25 per cent bursary is available for groups of four or more who are sponsored by an organisation and studying any award in the Health in Humanitarian Crises programme. These include the MSc, PG Diploma, PG certificate and Individual Modules. The four or more students do not have to be studying the same award.
Offer holders for the 2024/25 session will receive a 5 per cent fee reduction on their LSHTM Registration fees paid before 31 May 2024.
Applicants for the MBA from the UK or EU member states are eligible for a 20 per cent bursary
Bursaries are available for all University of London Worldwide LLB alumni for their LLM, PGDip or PGCert programme fees at 30%. All applicants (including LLB alumni) residing in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia or Sri Lanka can take advantage of a 40% bursary for the LLM, PGDip or PGCert.
Members of the Malaysian Bar Council are now able to receive a fee bursary for the Postgraduate Laws programme.
Members of Professionals in Humanitarian Assistance & Protection (PHAP) can receive a 10 per cent discount on their fees towards the MA Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies programme.
Current Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) employees can receive a 10 per cent bursary that can be applied against registration, examination entry fees and module fees.
Alumni receive a 20 per cent discount for the PG distance learning programmes in Livestock Health and Production, and Veterinary Epidemiology and Public Health.
This bursary is available to union members in unions affiliated with the TUC, for the BSc Business Administration, BSc Computer Science, BSc Psychology and the Global MBA programmes.
This bursary offers a 20 per cent discount to applicants who are currently employed at recognised Teaching Centres for the University of London.
Scholarships
Offered on a number of our programmes, these scholarships are available to those registered with refugee or displaced person status.
The Váradi Scholarships offer an award of up to £10,900 towards the cost of programme fees for residents of Denmark, Latvia, Slovenia, Poland, Greece, Malta, Germany, Bulgaria, Portugal, Slovakia, Hungary, Czechia, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Turkey, Italy and Romania.
This award offers three full undergraduate scholarships for students in Pakistan to undertake the LLB Laws programme of study being taught locally at three of our Recognised Teaching Centres.
This scholarship covers full fees for applicants who are Hungarian nationals and are looking to undertake one of the following programmes: BSc in Economics, BSc in Economics and Management or BSc in International Relations.
