Short courses

Many of our distance-learning and online degree programmes are split into courses or modules that can be studied individually. Short courses are useful for continuing professional development, refreshing your knowledge, or exploring a new area of interest.

If you later decide that you would like to continue your studies, you may be able to transfer the credit of any completed modules towards a full qualification. Modules are made up of a number of credits. One UK credit equates to a notional 10 hours of study.

The member institutions that make up the University of London offer a diverse range of subjects, including: Computing, Business and Management, Law, Economics and Human Rights, and many more.

We also offer a range of MOOCs - free taster courses that provide you with an opportunity to start studying from home to develop a personal interest, as a stepping stone to new career opportunities, or to help enhance your career as part of your continuing professional development (CPD).
