Admissions appeals procedure
We are committed to ensure that all decisions concerning admissions are clear, transparent, and consistent. But we understand that there may be reasons why you wish to challenge a decision.
If you wish to appeal against a decision concerning your eligibility, please contact either:
- The Enquiry Hub (for University of London applications)
or
- SAS Registry (for School of Advanced Study applications)
Please state the basis of your appeal and include any additional information (such as further qualifications or references) that were not submitted originally.
Providing that no additional evidence is required, we will aim to review and respond to admissions appeals within ten working days.

The admissions appeals procedure
- The Admissions Office will assess your application based on the additional evidence provided. If eligible an offer will be made.
- If an offer cannot be made by the Admissions Office then the appeal is considered by the relevant Programme Director who will make the final recommendation.
Please note that the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) cannot consider complaints about admissions.
