Federation members

We are a federal University, consisting of 17 independent federation members. When studying with us you belong to a particular federation member as well as the University of London. This allows students to have access to a wide range of facilities and services.

Federation members are self-governing, setting their own entrance criteria and in some cases have their own degree awarding powers.

Between the federation members we have over 240,000 students studying over 3,700 courses. Not all of our students are actually located in London either; some study at the University of London Institute in Paris and we have over 50,000 students studying by distance learning, in 190 countries.
